My very talented friend Monica tagged me this week with a "thinking blog award" meme. Such a flattering, and cute post! I love the little mac icons with screen captures she made. (I think Monica was a graphic designer in another life! She's so incredibly witty too, have you read about the adventure's of mimi?!)

As a graphic designer, I love looking at blogs that feed my visual senses. It's been hard thinking of five favorites, that I haven't yet mentioned here before since I'm always constantly linking to people and websites that inspire me to share with you. So, I began to think about the blogs I love to hit when I'm looking for color and pattern inspiration. I don't know any of these bloggers, so I'm not tagging them... but if anyone would like to carry the torch and talk about five blogs that inspire them, please do pass on the links, I know I'd love to read about them!

1. Misprinted Type, is visual bliss with an edge.

2. Love Forever's blog covers all good things. From amazing links to other artists like Rebecca Purcell to wardrobe refashion . What's not to love?!

3. NOTCOT: for your ideas + aesthetics + amusement
You could spend hours browsing through this goldmine of obscure and fascinating links.

4. Print and Pattern is a great inspirational resource for designers, and illustrators. I love looking at all of the beautiful packaging and textiles from around the world.

5. Free People shows you all of the behind the scenes magic from their amazing boutique stores. I love getting to see the process behind creating all of their thematic displays and getting sneak peeks at the original artwork that their graphic designer makes by hand before transforming into digital collage for their catalogs. Amazing!
